About the Journal

Al-Amru: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Dakwah Islam is a peer-reviewed journal published by Penerbit Hellow Pustaka in Collaboration with Pascasarjana Institut Agama Islam Tasikmalaya. The journal is aimed at spreading the research results conducted by academicians, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Communication Science and Islamic Da'wa. In particular, papers which consider the following general topics are invited: communication science, communication theory, and approaches in communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, organizational communication, Political communication, Development of communication, and Media studies,  science of da'wa, history of da'wa, philosophy of da'wa, methodology of da'wa, and Management of da'wa.

The word "al-amru" (الأمر) in Arabic means command or matter. In a religious context, especially in Islam, al-amru often refers to the command of Allah SWT or His Messenger, and it can also mean a command in another form related to worldly affairs. Therefore, overall, al-amru has a broad meaning, encompassing command, matter, and it can also mean an encouragement to do good.

Al-Amru: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Dakwah Islam is publish  2 times annually (May and November). Each of the issue has  articles both on conceptual article and research article. Al-Amru: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Dakwah Islam in Bahasa Indonesia, English or Arabic written articles are also welcomed.
